  1. Regression was done with adjustment for age, BMI, systolic and diastolic blood pressures (coefficients not shown). Log(Hcy) was the natural log of plasma homocysteine in μmol/L. β regression coefficient, SE standard error, eGFR was in unit of ml/min/1.73 m2.
