The bottom three panels are marked with the five recombination events identified by pediSNP among three maternal gametes. The middle three panels do not contain any of the informative markers that occur on tracks 2 and 4, consistent with the lack of recombination events on any of those three paternal gametes. However, the fourth panel (Rev_S1.S2__Fa) which contains data from two brothers and the unrelated X chromosome of their father, included a set of patterns on tracks 1, 3, and 5 that reflect meiotic recombination events in the maternal gametes (see text for details). The top two panels show standard SNPtrio analyses, including a pattern of BPI for two parents relative to their daughter and exclusive maternal inheritance of the X chromosome by each of the sons.
